If you're thinking what to teach Pidgeot, focus on the movements of flight. Fly is always a good choice, as is Wing Attack. You want to spend May Sky Attack, though. It is a powerful attack, but it takes a tour of preparation.Ground attacks can not hit Flying Pokemon, but beware of the earth / rock types. Slide Rock and Rock Throw, the only two Rock techniques in the game, are very effective against Flying Pokemon like Pidgeot. But the fastest way to fly Pokemon is to use a Pokemon Electric.
